Islamabad: Cricket is by far the favourite sport to watch among Pakistanis’ 69 percent rate it at the top, followed by Hockey at 7 percent; Football (Soccer) at 5 percent and a traditional sport, ‘Kabaddi’ at 4 percent.
According to a Giyani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, Cricket is by far the favourite sport to watch among Pakistanis” 69 percent rate it at the top, followed by Hockey at 7 percent; Football (Soccer) at 5 percent and a traditional sport, ‘Kabaddi’ at 4 percent.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “What sports do you like to watch personally?” Responding to this, 69 percent claim that they like to watch Cricket, 7 percent like to watch Hockey, 5 percent watch Soccer whereas 4 percent like to watch Kabaddi. However 11 percent claim to watch no sports while 4 percent did not give a view.
