Camp Nou: English football club Chelsea has qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League as the second semifinal against Barcelona was leveled with both teams scoring two goals.
The Barcelona team took the lead in the match with scoring two goals early in the first half but failed to maintain their lead upto the end of the game. Sergio Burgos scored the first goal for Barcelona in the 35 min of the match followed by a second goal in the 43rd min by Andres Iniesta.
The match proved to be a nightmare for star Barca footballer Messi who missed two chances of clear scoring. Messi missed a penalty kick in the second half when the ball returned after hitting the top bar while in the other attempt his kick strike goal-post.
The fortune seemed to be with Chelsea as both of their goals were scored in the extra time of the halves. Fernando Torress scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the 90+2 min of the match while Chelsea scored their first goal when Ramires provided them with the opportunity in the 45+1 min of the match.
It is to be mentioned here that the first leg match of the semi-finals was won by Chelsea thus after equalizing the match they ultimately qualified for the finals.
