Tehran: The Iranian Oil Ministry and a number of other affiliated companies escaped a cyber attack on Sunday, which could lead to extensive damage, the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency reported.
The Internet access at the aforementioned companies was disrupted by the cyber attack, according to the report. However, the Oil Ministry has not yet confirmed the report.
In addition, an Oil Ministry official told the agency that the cyber attack had caused no damage.
