London: English Football club Chelsea won the second semi-final of the UEFA Champions League by scoring 1-0 against the favorites Barcelona at the Stamford bridge stadium, London, a metropolitan of United Kingdom.
The Chelsea attempted strikes at goal post of Barca and succeeded in scoring one goal in the extra second minute of the first half which later helped them to gain a win against Barcelona. The winning goal was scored by Didier Drogba.
Although Barcelona tried extremely well to level the scores but failed in their attempt. The last minute movement created by Lionel Messi at the Chelsea goal post gave some hope but the ball returned back after striking the goal post.
The result means that Chelsea take a slim advantage into the second leg on April 26.
Barca are bidding to become the first club since AC Milan in 1989 and 1990 to lift the European Cup in successive seasons.
