Bob Woolmer was mulling to embrace Islam before death: Afridi

Karachi: Star cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi has revealed that Bob Woolmer, Pakistan former coach Bob Woolmer, was thinking to embrace Islam before his sudden death in Jamaica during 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Talking in a news television programme, Afridi said that Woolmer had also started reading Qurran before the death.

He said had played with seven captains of Pakistan cricket team, adding that Waseem Akram had taught him fighting spirit.

The all-rounder said that there was no friendship in the ground. “I am feeling sorrow that Shoaib Akhtar’s career ending was not happy,” he said.
