Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari gave directions to the government on Sunday to establish Seraiki Bank for the betterment of investors and traders of South Punjab.
According to the President’s Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar, President Zardari while talking to a delegation of traders and investors from South Punjab assured them that he would give directions to government to establish a separate bank for Seraiki people.
The president told the delegation to submit their suggestions in a week time in this regard.
He said that the bank would be a great help for the traders of South Punjab in resolving their economic issues.
He said that in past banks had been used to attain political objectives, but the incumbent government would ensure that no bank be used against political opponents.
