Karachi: At least five were killed and eight others including a police official injured in separate incidents of firing in Karachi during last 12 hours.
According to police, unidentified men, riding a motorcycle, opened fire on the activists of Sunni Tehreek in Lines Area of the city. The victims were identified as Yahya and Rahid while another man a man was shot dead in Urdu Bazar Area.
A youngster named Arsalan was killed and three others injured near Bait-ul-Mukarram mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal by unidentified armed men riding in a car opened fire on them when they were plying cricket.
A man, shot to injure in Schon Circle area of Clifton, scummbed to his injuries in hospital while another four men, including a Criminal Investigation Police (CID) official named Dilshad, were injured in different firing incidents in Liaqatabad, North Karachi and Shaheen Complex areas.
