Karachi: Inflation rate was seen 10 per cent higher than last year in the week ended on April 12, 2102. Increasing inflation and decreasing purchasing power have doubled the problem, making it difficult for a common man to make ends meet.
According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the price of tomatoes increased by 110 per cent which is higher than any other utility. Milk was 15 per cent higher while the price of red chilli went up to 18 per cent.
The prices of beef and mutton were 15 per cent higher.
There was also a significant increase in petroleum prices. Gas prices went up to 29 per cent while petrol price raised up to 23 per cent.
