Islamabad: Pakistan’s former ambassador to the Unites States Hussain Haqqani has refused to appear before the commission, investigating the memogate , on health grounds.
Haqqani on Wednesday, moved a plea through his lawyer Sajid Tanoli regretting that he would not be able to appear before the commission tomorrow (Thursday) due to his health condition.
The plea said Haqqani was suffering from a heart disease and was undergoing medical treatment in the US.
It is to mention here that Haqqani’s name was removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the condition that he would appear before the commission on three-day notice.
