Washington: United States (US) President Barack Obama on Thursday hoped that Pakistani government would consider US interests while revising its foreign policy in the joint session of the parliament.
Talking to a foreign news channel Obama said that a balance should be maintained between the soverginity of Pakistan and national interests of the US.
“It was in US interest to fight against those who attacked us,” Obama said.
The president further said that he would not hesitate in accepting that tensions prevailed in the relations between Pakistan and US.
“US and Pakistan don’t want the nuclear weapons in the hands of militants,” he added.
