Rawalpindi: Karachi Dolphins defeated Lahore eagles by 5 wickets in their last match of the Faysal Bank Super Eight Twenty20 Cricket Cup here at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The Karachi team easily achieved the target of 149 runs set by Lahore eagles with with eleven balls to spare in their innings. Asad Shafiq knocked a brilliant half-century, scoring 58 off 47 balls with six boundaries along with Shehryar Ghani who remained not out on 44, made from 27 balls with five fours and a six.
The Lahore Eagles failed to stop the Karachi batsmen in scoring runs.The Eagles’ left-arm spinner Mustafa Iqbal captured three wickets for 26.
Earlier Lahore Eagles due to the 41 runs innings by Imran Farhat set a target of 149 runs.
