Islamabad: Former Pakistani ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani on Saturday filed a plea in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, seeking permission that his statement be recorded through video link like Mansoor Ijaz, by the judicial commission probing the memogate issue.
Haqqani moved the plea through his lawyer Sajid Tanoli. The application has also been sent to the memo commission.
Meanwhile, a 82-page written reply by the ex envoy has also been submitted to the commission.
According to reports, Haqqani said in reply that Mansoor Ijaz’s allegation were baseless and there was no ambiguity in this regard.
