Mexico City: A strong earthquake having a magnitude of 7.4 hit southern Mexican resort towns and the nation’s capital, media reported on Tuesday.
According to reports the earth quake having epicenter at about 15 miles (25 kilometers) east of Ometepec, Guerrero rattled residents in the cities of Mexico, but there were no immediate reports of serious damage or injuries
It was also reported that more than an hour after the quake, residents of town were feeling aftershocks adding that almost 500 houses were damaged while many of them collapsed due to the quake.
