Washington: The Pentagon claimed that Chairman US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen Martin Dempsey was ready to apologise to Pakistan after the Salala attack, media reported on Tuesday.
In a statement issued from Pentagon, officials stated that although the US army chief wants to apologise after the incident but didn’t apologise due to the situation in Afghanistan.
“US respects the dignity of Pakistani parliament,” he added.
The Pentagon further stated that the US was waiting for the suggestions given by the parliament, adding that hopefully the deadlock between the two nations would end.
