Islamabad: An application has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, seeking elimination of an alleged political wing of country’s intelligence service the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Directorate.
The application was moved on Tuesday by Advocate Wahabul Khairi, making the president, the prime minister, the army chief and the ISI chief and others respondents.
The application noted that the political cell of the ISI was in violation of basic rights of citizens under clause 17(2) of the Constitution.
The advocate prayed that his plea be taken up with Asghar Khan’s petition which court is all set to hear on Wednesday.
Mr Khari’s has been representing Air Marshal Retd Asghar Khan in case pertaining to ISI role in disbursing money among anti-PPP political parties.
