Islamabad: Prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani’s solicitor, Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday said that those who were creating hype regarding the arrest of Gillani would be disappointed.
Talking to media after the hearing of contempt of court against the prime minister in Supreme Court, Ahsan said that those who were thinking that prime minister and president would be arrested after this hearing would be disappointed.
Ahsan said that SC had summoned Cabinet division secretary Nargis Sethi as a witness on March 7. “I also want former law minister Babar Awan and Secretary Law Masood Chishti to appear before court but they were showing hesitation in order to appear before court,” he added.
“Seat of Senate was not given in terms of fees for contesting the contempt case but it shows confidence of party leadership on me and I am very thankful to them,” Ahsan said.
Gillani’s solicitor congratulated first Pakistani Oscar Award winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and said that we were proud of her for achieving such a prestigious award for Pakistan.
PPP leader further condemned the incident Waheeda Shah and demanded PPP leadership to take serious actions against her.
