Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) on Wednesday decided to side with the opposition over the 20 Constitutional Amendment Bill, which has been tabled in the National Assembly and is aimed at giving constitutional cover to the by-election held under incomplete Election Commission after the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
The JUI-F took the decision during its parliament party’s meeting held here at Parliament House. Earlier, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Ch Nisar Ali Khan contacted JUI-F chief Maulana FAzalur Rehman and discussed with him the constitutional amendment bill.
Sources said that Nisar requested Fazal work out a joint strategy regarding the bill in the assembly.
