Lahore: Chief Minster Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has offered Mansoor Ijaz, the central figure in memogate scandal, to come to Lahore for recording his statement before the judicial commission probing the scandal.
Talking to private Express News TV channel, the chief minister Punjab assured that Punjab government would provide foolproof security to Ijaz, who had refused to come to Pakistan expressing dissatisfaction over the security he had to be given upon arrival in the country.
Shahbaz said that he would personally monitor the security to be provided to Mansoor Ijaz, if he landed in Lahore to record his statement. Reacting to Shahbaz Sharif’s offer PPP Secretary Information Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira said that his statement was condemnable. He blamed the Sharif brother of re-initiating the politics of 1990s. He said the Punajb chief minister had adopted the policy of clash with the centre.
