Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that he wants to dispel the impression that army chief and DG ISI’s statement submitted to the Supreme Court were unconstitutional and he had given such statement in certain circumstances.
Pakistan’s premier is well known inside the country for backing off from his statements and political observes are of the view that with his latest statement Gilani has once against taken u-turn from series of rhetoric against the country’s powerful military establishment.
He was talking to media before leaving for Switzerland to attend World Economic Forum here on Wednesday.
“Now situation is clear and there is no ambiguity,” Gilani said and added that there should be harmony in the view points of all the state institutions, as the country could not afford confrontation.
He said that his visit to WEF was aimed at presenting Pakistan’s good image so that investment could be attracted to the country
