Islamabad: Advocate Akram Sheikh, counsel for Mansoor Ijaz, has written letters to the Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq Pakistan and Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani regarding security to his client upon his arrival in the country to record his statement with the memogate commission.
Sheikh expressed reservations over the reports that security would be provided by interior ministery.
In his letter to AG he said why contempt of court case shouldn’t be filed against him for not complying with court orders of deploying army for Mansoor Ijaz security.
Akram Sheikh said security responsibility had be given to those who posed security threat to his client.
Similarly, he wrote a letter to the army chief asking whether army will provide security to Mansoor Ijaz.
