Islamabad: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar said on Friday there was no conspiracy in demand of new provinces.
Speaking in the National Assembly, he requested the house to provide people of Saraikai, Hazara and Fata with their rights.
He said that the MQM was ready to give resignations from the assembly if decisions were being taken elsewhere.
Earlier, the MQM staged walkout from the National Assembly in protest against non-inclusion of its resolution on agenda.
MQM leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi threatened to boycott the session if voting was not held on its resolution on new provinces.
However, his demand was ruled out by the house.
MQM lawmakers also met Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to discuss issue of new provinces.
The assembly session has been adjourned for indefinite period.
