California: According to reports, Apple has appointed Adobe executive Todd Teresi to run its mobile advertising offering iAd ahead of a major media announcement.
Teresi, who was vice president of Adobe’s media solutions group, has already started at Apple as vice president of iAd, said two of the people, who declined to be identified because the move hasn’t been announced. Teresi is reporting to Eddy Cue, a senior vice president who also oversees Apple’s iTunes and the App Store.
Teresi, who only joined Adobe last year worked at Yahoo Inc for almost a decade. He is already on-board at Apple as the vice president of iAd, Bloomberg reported.
The iAd business was launched in 2010 and received mixed reactions from marketers who complained about the tight control Apple maintained, and the lack of data returned.
An Apple spokesman declined to comment on Teresi’s hiring.
