Lahore: Former federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Sartaj Aziz has turned down party’s offer to appoint him as general secretary, sources said on Saturday.
The sources said that the PML-N leadership offered him the general secretary post but he apologized on age grounds, saying he would unable to work on the post that required an active person.
The sources said that the party has acknowledged his apology. They said that Aziz had asked party to appoint him as vice chairman.
