Mardan: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asfand Yar Wali Khan has said that there is no federation in the world like Pakistan as there is no concurrent list and all the powers have been transferred to provinces.
Addressing a huge rally in Mardan, the ANP leader said that Pakistan was on the brink of decisive position as some people were foreseeing confrontation of institutions.
“If helicopters come-referring to US stealth helicopters that took down Osama bin Laden- country’s sovereignty is violated while on the other hand allowing foreigners to operate from our soil is not a violation of sovereignty,” he said. He said that as to why voice is not raised against foreigners when they used Pakistan’s territory.
He claimed that the incumbent government would complete its term.
Khan said that there was no war in Karachi, adding that Pakhtuns go Karachi for earring bread and butter. The ANP leader said that Karachi was part of Sindh and the Pakhtuns were the part of Karachi.
“Restoring peace in Karachi is in the interest of Pakistan and Pakhtuns,” he added. Khan said that there was major role of Pakhtuns in the development of Karachi.
He said that they were ready to hold talks with militants if they accepted government’s writ. Asfand Yar Wali said that election would be held in time.
