Kabul: A bomb explosion has killed another US-led NATO soldier in Afghanistan, increasing the number of foreign casualties to 26 this month.
“An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan, today,” ISAF said in a statement released on Friday.
The statement stopped short of specifying the nationality of the victim, but the contingents stationed in southern Afghanistan are known to be mostly from the United States, Britain and Australia.
More than 560 foreign soldiers, mainly American troops, have been killed in Afghanistan since the start of 2011.
