Dubai: The Federal Supreme Court upheld the ruling of the Fujairah Court which fined a person found guilty of sending SMS to a married woman.
Al Khaleej reported the man was fined Dh5,000 by the Fujairah court for sending several SMS on the woman’s mobile phone.
The Prosecution had collected supporting evidence to the victim’s claim from etisalat.
However, the Court of First Instance acquitted the defendant, but the Prosecution appealed the verdict before the Fujairah Court of Appeal and later the to Federal Court which fined him Dh5,000.
