ABF donation for reconstruction in flood-hit areas

Karachi: American Business Forum (ABF) has donated funds to Pak Pur Foundation for construction activities in flood affected areas.

Acting President ABF Mr. Ibrahim Qureshi along with Honorary Secretary General Mrs. Ayesha Hamid and Chairman Flood Relief Fund Committee Osman Khalid Waheed presented cheque to Pak Pur in a very simple ceremony.

Chairman PAK PUR Foundation Haroon Khawaja and Chief executive Mahmood Amer Saeed received the donation on behalf of the Foundation.

The Honorary Secretary General ABF Mrs. Ayesha Hamid introduced the ABF to the members of PAK PUR Foundation. She said the ABF members had generated funds mutually to help out the flood affected people.

The Flood Relief Committee of the Forum agreed to disburse the funds through PAK PUR Foundation, a local Non Government Organisation (NGO), working for construction of 5MARLA houses for flood affected people in Northern Areas.

The ABF donated funds for construction of three houses for flood affected people in Mirpur Khas. Chairman PAK PUR made presentation on the project in four flood affected areas of Muzaffargarh and Mir Pur Khas. He also pointed out the problems relating to sewerage system, clean drinking water and electricity issues in flood affected areas.

Mr. Mahmood Amer Saeed told the ABF delegation that the PAK PUR Foundation has constructed a village in floor affected area of Muzaffargarh.

He said a team of construction experts was working on that project.

Acting President ABF Ibrahim Qureshi lauded the efforts of PAK PUR Foundation in dealing with devastating impact of floods in Northern Areas.

President ABF Salim Ghauri in his message has appreciated the PAK PUR Foundation for making efforts in reviving the flood affected people.

He also thanked the ABF members for donating funds to rehabilitate the
flood affected areas.
