BB never compromised on supremacy of parliament: PM Gilani

Karachi: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday said that former chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party Benazir Bhutto had never compromised on the supremacy of parliament in the country.

Addressing 100th meeting of federal cabinet held here in Karachi on Birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founder of Pakistan, PM Gilani said that Jinnah envisioned to democratic government in Pakistan.

The PM said that minorities was enjoying equal rights in Pakistan. He added that Benazir Bhutto was a strong proponent of minorities’ rights in the country.

He said that the current democratic government was facing many internal and external challenges. “My Allah give us a courage to face these challenges,” he said.

“The current government will complete its tenure,” he said.
