Islamabad: The Abbottabad Commission has summoned senior Pakistani journalist Saleem Safi on December 27.
According to a report, the commission, formed to probe US raid in Abbottabad that killed al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden on May 2, will interview the seasoned journalist who has in depth knowledge into matters related to al-Qaeda,Taliban and Afghanistan.
Saleem Safi also hosts a popular talk-show at local Geo News TV.
The commission recorded statements of senior politician Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and Pakistan former Ambassador to Washington Hussain Haqqani this week.
Haqqani told the panel that nobody in Pakistan was previously aware of the US raid in Abbottabad.
