Mumbai: Nokia Lumia smartphones, the first devices running on Windows Phone operating system from the Finnish giant, will be available in the markets starting today.
“Lumia will be available in stores, at least in the metros. In the next few days the product will be made available across 100 cities,” Nokia India Director (Marketing) Viral Oza said today.
The Nokia Lumia 800 is a high-end device that comes with Floating glass Display, 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, and has 16GB internal user memory and 512 MB programme memory.
The Lumia 710, on the other hand, has a 5MP camera with LED flash, 8GB storage capacity with 512 MB RAM and exchangeable back covers.
Both the touchscreen devices run on Windows Phone 7.5 -Mango operating System.
Though, the company is embarking on one of its biggest marketing blitz for the product, Oza declined to speak on how much incremental business or market share it can gain from the Windows based smartphones.
