Karachi: Sabeeha, a widow of alleged terrorist Qari Shahid, who was killed in police encounter on Dec 5, has told investigators that her husband was involved in major terrorist strikes in Karachi, including attacks on Mehran airbase and Chaudhry Aslam’s residence.
Inspector General Police Sindh Mushtaq Shah on Wednesday said during a press conference that Sabeeha revealed the investigators that Punjabi Mujahid group was involved in these major attacks.
The IG said that Sabeeha has confessed to her involvement in the Karachi University blast and added that she gave a bomb to Umer alias Chottu.
Sabeeha further told that another accused Sohail brought five people from Waziristan for Mehran airbase attack. She added that she had visited PAF Museum before the airbase attack for reiki.
“Sohail brought two suicide bombers for CID attack and provided them a residence,” she told investigators. She further told that an accused Shahid Khan planted a bomb for attack on police in Malir with the help of Jundullah.
“I have lost my two brothers in US drone attacks in tribal region of Pakistan,” she said during investigation.
