Peshawar: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan would hold peace talks with those militants who renounce violence.
He said that new policy regarding relations with the United States would be formed with the support of people.
Speaking to media after the cabinet meeting in Peshawar on Wednesday , he said that Pakistan would not compromise on sovereignty and its decisions was the according to nation’s wishes.
He said that Pakistan wanted stable Afghanistan as American and allies had to eventually leave the country while Pakistan would remain its neighbour forever.
Gilani said that all the institutions in the country had been working with given parameters.
He added that all the recommendations of defence committee were implemented.
Replying a query, the prime minister said the cabinet discussed the problems faced by the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would be taken into confidence in this regard.
