Karachi: The Sindh High Court has taken up an application filed by Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqaqi (MQM) Chairman Afaq Ahmed, challenging his detention under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).
Afaq Ahmed who was released today by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) was immediately held by the Sindh government under MPO for 30 days.
The High Court had directed the government not to arrest the MQM-H chief incase the court released him.
