London: Former No. 1 Roger Federer has made another record when he won a sixth title at the ATP World Tour Finals defeating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga by 6-3, 6-7 (6-8) and 6-3.
The victory in two-hour-18-minute meant the 70th trophy for 16-time Grand Slam winner Federer, who was playing in his 100th career final.
The Swiss collected a 17-match win streak, winning consecutive titles in Basle, Paris and London to add to his Doha trophy from January.
Tsonga denied Federer as the Swiss served for the match leading 5-4 in the second set and also saved a match point in the second-set tiebreaker with a forehand winner.
The pair have played eight times in 2011, with Federer standing 6-2 in that period.
