Karachi: The Sindh government on Tuesday extended special powers for Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) for three months.
A notification has also been issued in this regard. The Rangers could conduct raids, snap checking and arrest under the special powers.
The special powers were given to the paramilitary force in the wake of worsening law and order situation in Karachi.
The Rangers arrested several targeted killers and seized huge quantity of arms during the extensive campaign against miscreants, bringing peace back to the city, home to at least 20 million people and commercial hub of the nuclear nation.
