Mundara: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has said that his party would move the Supreme Court of Pakistan if the issue of secret memo was not resolved.
Talking to media in Mundara, he reiterated that an inquiry should be carried out into the issue and the National Assembly could look into the matter. He said a commission headed by Fakhruddin G Ibrahim could also be formed into to matter.
He said that the investigation should be completed soon. Referring to Wali Khan Babar and Saleem Shahzad murders, he urged the media to pursue any issue until culprits were brought to book.
He said that he was not afraid of Senate elections and wanted the democratic setup to be continued.
Sharid said he raised his voice over the murder of Benazir Bhutto. He asked whether Pervez Musharraf could not be tried because he had been in uniform.
He said spy agencies should not involve in politics and General Kayani should play his due role in this regard. “Had government implemented Charter of Democracy, there would have been no memogate,” Sharif added.
The former prime minister said that spy agencies had been backing Imran Khan.
