Washington: US State Department refused to comment over the issue of memo and Pakistan Ambassador to United State Hussain Haqqani, who is in the midst of the storm stirred by the memo crisis.
When asked during a news briefing to comment over the possible resignation of Hussain Haqqani State Department Deputy Spokesperson Mark Tonner declined to comment, saying that it was the internal matter of Pakistan.
To a question, he said that US attached great importance to the Afghan Loya Jirgah and it was an opportunity for Afghanis to discuss the ties between Kabul and Washington openly. He further said that as Loya Jirgah was underway, so everyone should wait for its outcome before making any comment over it.
