Bhatinda: Two people killed and 10 players were injured in an accident of bus carrying Indian women kabaddi team members with an Army truck near Bhuchho Marg.
The driver of the bus Barendra Sharma and head constable Harjeet Singh who accompanied the team died on the spot. Both vehicles caught fire immediately after the accident.
Three policemen in the escort vehicle also suffered serious injuries. All of them have been hospitalised.
The injured have been admitted to Bhatinda hospital.
According to India media, the team was on its way back from a training camp in the midst of the Kabaddi World Cup, the finals for which take place in Ludhiana on November 20th.
