South Waziristan: At least 16 were killed and several others injured in US drone strike in South Waziristan of Pakistan’s tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Wednesday.
Sources said that the unmanned drone plane has fired several missiles on two houses of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members located in Babar Pahari area of the region.
Pakistan’s state television has also confirmed the death of sixteen people in the incident.
Relations between Pakistan and the United States have been at its lowest ebb since a series of allegations by top US civilian and military officials against Pakistan especially it security establishment including Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
Pakistan has long been opposing the drone strikes, declaring them counterproductive.
