Karachi: Admissions in the Karachi University (KU) for the academic year of 2012 has been started from November 11.
According to the university Spokesman, banks adjacent to Silver Jubilee gate will remain open on Saturday for the convenience of the students despite two-weekly holidays.
On the first day of the admission, some 5,000 admission forms were sold out. Special counters have also been set up for the guidance of new comers.
All kinds of quota forms can receive and submit from November 20.
Director Admission Committee Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi said that all possible facilities were being provided to new comers. He said that students who want to take admission in the KU could get equivalence certificate from the university.
He said that those who didn’t receive the certificate could submit their admission form on behalf of their mark sheets but they have to submit the certificate before the entry test.
Dr Iraqi further said that in the first phase admission would be given in different categories including BBA, BPA, MBA, MPA, BS (Commerce), Environmental Studies, Computer Scinece, Bio Technology and Applied Physics.
For BS and Honours admission forms could be gotten from 20 to 30 November.
In the second phase, admission will be given in Commerce, Arts, Scinece and Islamic Learning on merit basis.
It is pertinent to mention here that admission forms for the first phase could be gotten by November 18.
