Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf has termed the spot-fixing scandal as bad luck for Pakistan cricket and said that he was trying to encourage the families of tainted trio.
He said that Amir, Asif and Butt were the best players but they brought bad name for Pakistan.
Talking to media, he said that Shahid Afridi was selected by the PCB’s selectors and player’s power was not promoted.
The PCB chief said that the ICC had been requested to include Pakistan in its investigation about cricket corruption. He said that all the cricket boards had been contacted to follow the ICC rules.
