Islamabad: Awami National Party’s member of national assembly and former federal minister Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti is all set to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the family sources, Hoti will resign as MNA to join PTI. Hoti’s son Umer Farooq has already joined PTI.
Hoti was Federal Minister for Narcotics Control in Prime Minister Gilani’s cabinet till 2009 when he resigned as minister in protest against continuous neglecting him by Awami National Party (ANP) leadership in decision making process.
Meanwhile, PTI chief Imran Khan advised Jahangir Tareen resign from parliament before joining his party according to floor crossing law, a law to switch from one party to another party.
MNAs and PMAs from several parties want to join PTI in a group but according to floor crossing law.
Central executive committee (CEC) of PTI hold meeting with other parties’ members who want to join hands with PTI on Sunday.
Pakistan’s former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will also join PTI on November 27, source said.
