Anti-US parties coalition in Pakistan

Lahore: Two anti-US political parties in Pakistan, Jamat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, have agreed to put out the country from crises.

According to The News Tribe correspondent, JI delegation headed by Munawar Hasan called on PTI chairman Imran Khan at his residence and expressed serious reservations over the current corrupt political system in Pakistan.

It is pertinent to mention here that both the parties boycotted to participate the 2008 election under the regime of military ruler Gen. (Retd) Pervez Musharraf.

The development came after PTI held a successful rally at Minar-e-Pakistan that attracts thousands of people, but the meeting was scheduled.

On the occasion, both the parties agreed to form a working paper regarding several national issues including elimination of corruption, end of US aggression from Pakistan, overcome on inflation and unemployment, and implementation on judicial decisions. They also agreed to run a campaign for political reforms in the country.

JI Ameer Munawar Hasan said that Pakistan is being forced towards destruction, but no one is ready to pay heed on real issues. He also said that corruption is dominating in Pakistan but no one wants to eliminate it.

JI has long been demanding ending of US intervention from Pakistan.

On the other hand Imran Khan also keeps strict stance against US drone strikes in Pakistan.

Both the parties think that US intervention and drone attacks in Pakistan’s tribal region are counterproductive and increasing militancy and anti-US sentiments in the country.

While, US officials have urged government of Pakistan that end escalating anti-American sentiments from Pakistan.
