Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhary on Wednesday took suo motu notice of non-payment of salaries and pension to the employees of pensioners of Pakistan Railways.
Notices were issued to Chairman Railways and Attorney General for Pakistan for October 28. The chairman and AGP had been directed to explain the reasons behind non-payment of salaries and pension to the Railways’ employees.
A bench of the apex court headed by the Chief Justice and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain would take up the case for hearing on October 28.
