Vehari: At least four people including a woman of a family were killed in a traffic accident in District Vehari of Pakistani Punjab in the wee hours of Wednesday, rescue officials said.
The incident took place along Melsi Road when an ambulance carrying a corpse moving towards Melsi rammed into a bus near Karampur. The bus was moving towards Bahawalpur from Lahore.
As a result, four people including a woman of a same family died on the spot, rescue officials said. Fourteen people also received injuries in the incident.
The injured had been taken to District Headquarter Hospital Vehari for treatment.
The hospital administration said that two of the injured were in critical condition while three were in stable condition.
Police have been called on the spot for investigation.Â
