Lahore: Punjab Governor Latif Khosa has said that he is mulling over asking Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take fresh vote of confidence from the Punjab Assembly as he don’t enjoy majority in the provincial assembly.
Talking to media here on Saturday he asserted that according to the constitution Sharif was even not a member of the provincial assembly. He had taken oath to comply with the constitution, saying that a case against Shahbaz Sharif eligibility was in the Supreme Court.
Responding the governor’s statement Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanullah said that no case of Sharif’s eligibility was pending in the Supreme Court of Pakistan or any other court.
He dared the governor to move no trust move, saying that he could fulfill his wish to move no confidence motion through Raja Riaz and Zaheeruddin.
