Quetta: The Zero Point trade gate on Pak-Iran border in Pakistani border town of Taftan would be opened soon as Iranian officials have expressed their willingness to reopen the gate.
According to a local official, district administration of Chagai had written a letter to Iranian officials two weeks back requesting them to reopen Zero Point trade gate keeping in view the grievance of people living in both sides of the border.
The Deputy Commissioner Chagai has received reply from Iranian officials with assurance that Zero Point trade gate would be reopened.
The Iranian officials stated that as soon as the ongoing development works near the trade gate is completed it would opened, he added.
It is to be mentioned here that Zero Point gate was closed on September 22 Â for indefinite period.
