London: Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB), Manager international, Zakir Khan on Thursday said that players are the ambassador of their countries and they should not get involved in any sort of corruption.
He said in a video link conference during the hearing of spot fixing in Southwark Crown Court.
Khan said in a court that Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir received 0.25 million rupees salary per month through a central contract whereas Butt also got 35 thousand rupess incentive weekly.
Salaries of the players deposited into their account, he added.
He also said that players receive prizes from government on the basis of good performances.
