Tehran: Iran has warned the United States against ‘confrontation’ over accusations that Tehran plotted to kill Saudi envoy in the United States.
“We are not seeking confrontation; our policy is cooperation and interaction. If they want to impose a confrontation upon the Iranian nation, the consequences of this issue will be more severe for them,” Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi told reporters after a cabinet session, the ISNA news agency reported.
Meanwhile, US officials alleged that Iran’s top officials were behind the plot to assassinate Saudi envoy to Washington. They said US would approach all friend countries to convince them against Tehran.
