Karachi: A few members of the Sindh Assembly from Pakistan People’s Party expressed solidarity with former home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza at a party at the residence of federal minister Syed Khursheed Shah.
Sources said some 25 members of Sindh Assembly, including five provincial ministers, reached the home of federal minister for religious affairs Syed Khursheed Shah in Karachi late Monday.
Those present on the occasion included Sharjeel Memon, Jam Mehtan and Mukesh Kumar. Dr Zulfiqar Mirza also attended the get together.
According to the sources, the meeting was arranged to resist the expected action against Zulfiqar Mirza.
The party was organized by Dr Nasrullah Balouch, a PPP MPA from Sukkur.
Talking to media, Balouch said the meeting was only a get together, but the political situation of Sindh was discussed in the meeting.
